Spurs Take Down The Jazz in 5

The San Antonio Spurs took care of business and played near flawless basketball in their 109 to 84 trouncing of the Utah Jazz. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan ran a clinic and were rewarded with yet another trip to the NBA Finals. The Spurs improved to 13-4 in close-out games since 2003. Over the same span, they are now 7-2 in playoff series that feature a loss by at least 12 points. To sweeten the deal the Spurs will have home court advantage regardless of who comes out of the Eastern Conference because the Spurs had more regular season wins than the Cavaliers and the Pistons. If the Detroit Pistons defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers and win the Eastern Conference, NBA fans will be treated to a repeat of the 2005 NBA Finals.
