Breaking News : Barry Bonds Passes Hank Aaron

In what is a truly sad day in baseball history Barry Bonds has hit home run 756 and become baseball's all-time leader for home runs. The Washington Nationals Mike Bacsik is the poor soul who will forever be remembered as the pitcher who served up the shot on August 7th, 2007. Sorry Hank, I really am.

Sosa Slams 600th Homer

Sammy Sosa became the 5th player in Major League Baseball history to join the 600 home run club. In an ironic twist, Sammy actually slammed his historic home run off his former team the Chicago Cubs and it came against Jason Marquis, who by the way, wears the #21, the same number that Sosa wore as a Cub. The Texas Rangers outfielder has had a solid, bounce-back year(13 HR and 57 RBI) following last year were he had no teams interested in his services. Though there will always be the steroid controversy that surrounds him, nonetheless he joins elite company of Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, and Hank Aaron with 600 bombs.
