Just a day after the Dolphins acquired Trent Green from the Kansas City Chiefs for a 5th round draft pick, Dolphins management informed Daunte Culpepper he won't be challenging Green for the starting job. Barring a pending physical of Trent Green, the Dolphins will be shopping Culpepper around. Culpepper has other ideas though as he was quoted, "They would like to trade me in order to get something for me. However, it is my position that I have already been down that road and I am not interested in being traded." Culpepper is scheduled to make $5.5 million dollars next season while Green is scheduled to make around $7 million. With the Dolphins selecting John Beck, QB out of BYU, in the second round there doesn't seem to be a need for Culpepper. Culpepper only played 4 games last season because of injuries and appears to be only shadow of what he used to be prior to his catastrophic knee injury during the 2005 season. If there are any updates on this story you folks will be the first to know.
