On Friday, Billy Donovan accepted the head coaching job for the Orlando Magic. The contract he accepted was a five year, $27.5 million deal and it appeared that staying in the state that was very prosperous for him when he was at the Univ. of Florida, would be a perfect fit. However, over the weekend Donovan had a change of heart and Monday he began talks with Orlando to rescind on his freshly signed deal. The ink was still wet when he changed his mind only 3 days after praising his new team and the bright future he envisioned as the coach of the Magic. The termination of his contract could include a clause that would prevent Donovan from attempting to coach in the NBA for the next five years. As Donovan reclaims his position at Florida it will be interesting to see if his decision to stay "in school" will pay off for him in the end.
